OUR CARE TEAM
Iris Netzer-Greenfield, L.Ac. and Founder
I’m Iris. I have practiced acupuncture for nearly two decades. My training has involved working with men and women who have found a new balance in their life through Chinese medicine and acupuncture. I’ve always had a profound interest in the human body, and the eastern perspective of life balance (yin/yang) has always resonated with me. Today I specifically address female imbalance and I have had great success in treating a number of gynecological conditions, including infertility. I offer an eclectic mix of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Japanese-style treatments, which focus on the overall well-being of the patient, while also drawing on my education, intuition, and my own personal style.
I have come a long way since my early years working in a converted utility closet. Through hard work I have been able to build my practice by staying true to my craft and to my strong message. I’m proud to now work in a beautiful treatment center with a skillful team of healers who offer the same level of care. Patients seek help with a wide range of acute and chronic ailments, including pain management, digestive disorders, and migraines, and display continued signs of improvement through customized treatment plans. My team and I understand that, for many, acupuncture is a new concept, so we welcome veterans and newcomers alike.
I hold a Masters of Science degree in Oriental Medicine from Samra University in Los Angeles. I am licensed by the State of California, the State of New York and the State of Connecticut. When I’m not in Manhattan, I maintain office hours closer to home. Noa Health & Acupuncture in Westport, Connecticut is the sister practice to Acupuncture Remedies.
I look forward to working with you.

Kim Schwartz-Finkelstein, L.Ac. and Chinese Herbalist
I’m Kim. I have committed myself to helping people achieve optimum health through Chinese Medicine. I hold a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College in New York City. I am licensed in Acupuncture and I am also board-certified in Chinese herbal medicine.
My method of practice is based on the most essential belief in Chinese Medicine; restoration of the balance between body and mind is the key to wellness. Drawing on various styles of acupuncture (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) and other holistic modalities, I create individualized treatments that are designed specifically for each person. Acupuncture, Chinese herbs, nutritional supplements, and lifestyle recommendations are combined to enhance your treatment and speed healing.
I work with a variety of conditions, including women’s issues, (fertility, PCOS, menstrual irregularities, menopausal symptoms) pain management, addictive disorders, (smoking cessation, weight issues) migraines, insomnia, stress reduction, and allergies. I’m also thrilled to be affiliated with Iris, Marcy and Alexandra at Acupuncture Remedies, together we are committed to continuing a tradition of excellence and to working with each patient individually to achieve optimum results.
Marcy Gordon-Julius, L.Ac. and Chinese Herbalist
I’m Marcy. My goal is to help people feel the best they possibly can, and reach their ultimate potential in life. I discovered my passion for integrative healthcare during my time in Musical Theater, when my well-being was of the utmost importance in maintaining my career. The desire to promote health in the most natural way possible, led me to graduate studies at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City where I received a Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine. During the 4-year degree program, I completed 960 hours of clinical practice and graduated among the top of my class. I also recently completed a year-long fellowship program at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital as part of the Integrative Medicine Department. Treating the in-patient population in various units, I focused mainly on orthopedic surgery and pulmonology.
I am nationally board certified in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and licensed to practice Acupuncture by the state of New York. I am also certified and have extensive training in Acupuncture Facial Rejuvenation.
I consider myself a general practitioner but feel specifically passionate about fertility and women’s health, pain management, digestive issues, mental and emotional health and cosmetics. It is important to me to take the time to get to know each patient as a whole person, and not just a symptom. I strive to address the root of injury and illness in order to help my patients achieve and maintain wellness. I feel lucky to be working in such a well rounded environment. I truly love what I do.
Alexandra Ruiz, L.Ac. and Chinese Herbalist
I’m Alexandra. I am passionate about helping others become aware of how their bodies speak to them, to help them take charge of their health so that they can enjoy active and healthy lives. My ultimate goal when working with a patient is to help them heal holistically, that is, in mind, body and spirit using acupuncture and herbal medicine.
I received a Masters of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. I am nationally board certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I am a Licensed Acupuncturist in the states of New York and Connecticut. During my clinical training I interned at NYU Langone Medical Center – Initiative for Women with Disabilities, and at Beth Israel Comprehensive Cancer Center in their integrative medical program. I am also trained in Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture.
Prior to my studies in Chinese medicine I received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut. I believe in integrating biomedical knowledge with ancient wisdom to achieve a balanced, healthy life.
While I treat a wide variety of conditions, I have a special interest in fertility support, women’s health, stress reduction, mental health, digestive issues, headaches and musculoskeletal pain. I am excited to be part of the team at Acupuncture Remedies and am committed to providing individualized and effective healthcare, using a holistic approach to medicine.
