Today I want to speak a little about Cosmetic Acupuncture and how it may benefit you.

During your first visit, a comprehensive history of your health will be taken plus a detailed discussion of your cosmetic concerns. It’s important that there are realistic expectations behind ones reason for seeking this treatment. After a thorough facial cleansing, hair thin needles will be inserted into your face and body. You may feel a slight prick when the needles are first inserted, but no pain. Sensations you may feel include: tingling, numbness, warmth and heaviness. You are also likely to feel deeply relaxed during the treatment and may even fall asleep. The needles will be left in place for about 20-30 minutes. Once they are removed, your treatment ends with a relaxing and lifting facial massage.
After the first session, you will notice a radiant, glowing appearance to your skin. For lasting results expect to come in once or twice a week for at least 8 to 10 sessions, with maintenance visits thereafter. Your specific regimen will be determined on your first visit and is dependent on each person’s specific case.
This treatment has given me the experience to treat women who wouldn’t ordinarily seek out acupuncture treatment. By introducing the cosmetic side, more folks who wouldn’t necessarily try acupuncture for other ailments, would try this first and get hooked!
