To make an appointment or to find out how we can help you, our preferred method is by phone. Speaking to you helps us to ensure you will benefit from acupuncture treatment. If we don’t answer during business hours, we are most likely in treatment with another patient. Please leave a message with our answering service – we aim to return patient calls within the hour.
*To be sure your preferred time is available, you are welcome to call or E-Mail us for more information.
Insurance rebates apply for eligible members, please inquire
Coverage must be confirmed before your first appointment as some insurance plans do not cover acupuncture. If you plan to use your insurance to cover the treatment, we will need to obtain some information from you to confirm your eligibility. If a copay applies, this will be due at the time of your visit.
Appointments are available 6 days a week. Morning and late treatment hours are offered on various days.
Our Fall/Winter 2019 hours are as follows:
Please note NEW patients: You will need to submit a credit card number to secure your place in the schedule. We schedule patients by appointment only.
For your first appointment we ask you to complete the patient intake form (Online). Please try to arrive 5-minutes before your appointment to ensure a timely start and full treatment.
How long is a treatment?
Your first visit will take approximately one hour. If you have limited time, please inform us before your appointment begins and we will adjust the length of your treatment accordingly. For subsequent visits, please allow 45-minutes.
How do I prepare before treatment?
Prior to your arrival, be sure you’re NOT coming in on an empty stomach. A light meal beforehand is recommended.
There is no dress code at our office, come as you are. Should your session require any disrobing, you will be draped where necessary and with your utmost comfort in mind.
Acupuncture promotes relaxation and does so by reducing the heart rate. If you are planning exercise and acupuncture on the same day, we would recommend the order of exercise first followed by acupuncture. The reverse order may be counter-intuitive.
What if I need to cancel?
As a courtesy to our staff and other patients, please allow 24-hours notice for cancellations and rescheduling. Missed appointments or cancellations that occur less than 24- hours before the scheduled appointment are subject to a fee of $100 or one docked session.
